8.45am for a prompt 9am start. As this is an accredited course, delegates arriving after 9.15am will not be admitted. There is a formal assessment at the end of the course, therefore any delegates who leave before the end of the session will not receive the accreditation and will be required to re-sit the course.
As a minimum requirement the Head Teacher and a named governor must have completed this training. Any recruitment panel must include at least one person who has completed this training.
This session will give participants an awareness of:
- Key features of Safer Recruitment that help deter unsuitable people
- Reviewing their own and their organisation’s policies and practices with a view to making them safer.

Fees for this session are payable via the school budget and not by individuals. The cost of this course is £250. If you are unable to attend the course, we ask that you please notify the Governance Services Team on 01204 332116 at the earliest opportunity and at least five working days prior to the course date to enable the place to be offered to others.
A cancellation fee of the full cost of the course will apply for non-attendance or if a place is cancelled by the delegate within five working days of the course date.
