Following the devastating fire at SS Simon and Jude’s, the Local Authority are providing space at the Bolton Science and Technology to allow for face to face teaching to continue in the autumn term. This will mean that there will be some disruption to training and events that are usually held at the site in the first half of the term, and we will adapt the programme to allow for alternative arrangements.
Therefore the autumn term Partnership Forum will now only be available via the pre-recorded video session and the in-person event has been cancelled.
The Partnership Forums in Bolton aim to strengthen school governance by providing information about local and national initiatives and changes in government legislation. The forums help support effective communication between governing boards and the local authority and promote cohesive working within the Bolton family of schools.
The Partnership Forums are held on a termly basis and the membership is based on attendance of one governor per school or academy – the ‘partnership governor/trustee’. If the nominated governor/trustee is unable to attend any of the meetings, a substitute governor may attend in their place.
Attendance is free of charge to all boards within the Bolton family of schools and academies.
This course will be a recorded video session. This will be released to you on the date advertised and available to view via the secure Bolton Governance Gateway website. Notification will be made via email. You can view the recording at your leisure after this date.
Areas of focus for the autumn term session are:
Safeguarding in Education and Updates to KCSIE
Mrs Jo Nicholson, Education Safeguarding Officer
Governance Oversight in Filtering and Monitoring
Marie Temel – Bolton Schools ICT Service
