Governance Training Programme 2021-22

Governance Training Programme 2021-22

Please find all governance training courses for the 2021-22 academic year listed below in course category order. Governors and trustees may seek further information and book on each course individually by selecting the ‘Further Information’ link alongside the corresponding date and time. Events may also be viewed in date order via the Key Events page.

Along with updates to our current training offer, we will be delivering two new courses, one specifically for Safeguarding Governance developed via our colleagues in the Safeguarding in Education Team and another looking at School Complaints and the relevant guidance surrounding this. The courses in this programme continue to embed each strand of the Department for Education’s Competency Framework for Governance and unless specifically stated, are suitable for all those involved in governance within different educational settings.

Following overwhelmingly positive feedback on the virtual sessions provided in the previous year, we have taken a blended approach to training delivery. Therefore sessions will be delivered via in person face-to-face session, live Teams virtual sessions and pre-recorded video sessions. We feel this will allow greater flexible and wider reaching support to our leaders, governors and trustees.

Information on Partnership ForumsChairs’ Briefings  can be found under the ‘News, Events and Updates’ section of the site.

Information can be found about our e-learning opportunities via the ‘Governance E-Learning’ Page
