Practical Chairing – Pre Recorded

Overview of Learning

In this session, delegates will look at how to effectively manage meetings through exploring good practice and using realistic scenarios to identify strategies for dealing with challenging situations. This is an ideal course for established Chairs and an excellent succession planning tool for future Chairs. By the end of this session, you will gain knowledge to:

  • Effectively chair meetings
  • Manage your workload and effectively delegate
  • Deal with challenging situations
  • Organise committees effectively

Audience:

All governors, trustees and local governors of schools and academies, particularly Chairs, Vice-Chairs, Committee Chairs and those aspiring to take on a chairing role.

Format:

This course will be a recorded video session. This will be released to you on the dates advertised and available to view via the secure Bolton Governance Gateway website. Notification will be made via email.  You can view the recording at your leisure after this date.

 Pricing 

Fees for this session are payable via the school budget and not by individual members of the governing board. If your governing board has signed up to the Governance Training Service Level Agreement, sessions are free of charge. Governors of governing boards who have not signed up to the Governance Training Service Level Agreement may attend for a fee of £98 per session.
