Overview of Learning
This Equality, Diversity and Inclusion session will develop Governors’ and Trustees’ confidence in promoting inclusion at their school or academy. The interactive, reflective session allows delegates to plan their EDI objectives from the Equality Act, Duty, KCSIE 2022 and the requirements of Ofsted.
Practical tips are provided within the session allowing delegates the ability to ‘sharpen their impact’ and assist meeting the requirements of Ofsted as well developing pupils with the skills needed for modern Britain.
Imtiaz Kala is an experienced safeguarding & EDI trainer who continues to volunteer as a Safeguarding/EDI Governor allowing him to be best placed in linking EDI into governor practice. Delegates are requested to bring their school equality policy for reflection at the session.
